Year 7 word processing-Practical skills MS Word

The parts of a computer that you use are as follows:

The keyboard is used for typing information (input).

The mouse is a small, hand-held device, which you move over the surface of your desk, making a pointer move on the screen. This is used for controlling of the computer for drawing on the screen.

The monitor (also called the visual display unit) is for displaying information. It works like a television set and can display both text and pictures.

The processor is where all the information is processed.

The disk drive is used for storage and retrieval of information. The disk can be removed from the drive and kept until they are needed again.

The printer is used to make permanent copies of the information from the computer.

Reflection on my GM Foods Power Point

I think I did really well in my power point presentation.

I included a lot of information and even extra information like facts and maps. I believe I used clip art the most throughout the presentation. I used clip art to find suitable backgrounds for the slides to make the slides look better and more interesting.

I included good examples and explanations throughout the presentation such as explaining why corn is the most popular GM Food in the UK/America.

I used neat and bold fonts and included pictures on every slide to explain the information in a more child friendly way.

I think something I could have done better was include more facts on GM Foods in different countries and more general information on GM Foods.

Another thing I could have done better was include another video of how GM Foods were used in the past.
